Mia's Almost Mullen and Daddy's (Al's) Almost Scribble Skateboards

Mia's board was purchased new in August 2008 at Zumiez.  Al's board was purchased used (also in August 2008) from someone who also bought theirs at Zumiez but put it to much use before selling it.  Both decks happen to be Almost decks.  (Mia's board: Almost Mullen deck, Thunder trucks, Bones 100's wheels, Rush ABEC 7 bearings, Jessup grip tape.  Al's board: Almost Scribble deck, Tensor trucks, Bones 100's wheels, Bones Reds bearings, Jessup grip tape.)

Even though Al's board was purchased used, the wear and tear on it is superficial.  Just some  nose and tail wear, but limited marks on trucks and bottom of board, so it wasn't ridden very hard.

Mia's Daddy's First Skateboard
(Roller Derby #10 from the 60s)

This is not the actual skateboard, but photos of one just like it.  (Al Ruscelli)

The Roller Derby #10 was not much more than a piece of wood with metal roller-skate-like wheels attached (that's a pretty close description, in any case).  The board is only 19 inches long and 4-1/2 inches wide.

The photo below shows the Roller Derby #10 skateboard and a child's adjustable K2 inline skate (sizes 13 to 3).

The next two photos show the Roller Derby #10 next to Mia's modern skateboard.
Roller Derby #10 at 19 x 4.5 inch, modern board at 31 x 7.3 inches.
